Overview of Estate Planning...
Catering to the Client
Estate planning involves more than determining to whom you wish to leave
your assets after you are gone or who should care for you if you become
incapacitated. A proper estate plan is crafted to combine tax planning,
business succession, and asset protection. In addition, clients with
blended families, registered domestic partners, developmentally disabled
dependants, or struggling children have special concerns that should be
addressed. Charitably minded individuals and families may also want to
support causes that were important to them during life after they pass.
Even if you have a modest estate, proper estate planning will allow your assets
to pass to your intended beneficiaries without the need for probate
administration, which can be expensive and time consuming. If you have
minor children, your estate plan will not only provide who should care for your
children, but can also allow your assets to be used for your children without
the need to establish a guardianship of the estate, which can be expensive.
Regardless of his clients' resources, Mr. Jones works with his clients to create
personalized estate plans that achieve his clients' estate planning goals.
